Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” -- Matthew 19:14
Welcome! Faith Kids worship is designed for kids ages 3 years* - 5th grade. We strive to help our children learn about God's love through the stories of Holy Scripture and build relationships that matter.
Faith believes in one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Through the waters of Baptism, we are made new and experience God’s grace. We invite all who are beginning their faith journey, babies through adults, to receive this gift.
If you are interested in baptism contact Faith.
Faith welcomes all people to the Lord’s table for Holy Communion. A discussion and activity is offered to children and their parents during Lent to understand the meaning and significance of the gift of Holy Communion.
First Communion is celebrated at the Family Easter Service on Holy Saturday.
Families who desire communion instruction for their children are invited to contact Pastor Nick to set up a time to discuss what First Communion means. All people are welcome at the table, and this discussion is not a prerequisite for children to receive communion. Instead, it is a tool for parents to utilize in partnership with the church, as together we nurture children in their walk of faith. We will cover what happened at the Last Supper, the elements of bread and wine at communion, and what it means to receive this gift from God freely.
Getting to grow and learn from the Bible is an important part of every child’s faith formation. At Faith, we gift graduating 3rd graders The Book of God for Children Bible to help them grow in their faith through reading and looking at the pictures of the stories of the Bible. This presentation is in the spring and then kicks off the Summer Bible Treasure Map Activity. Each child will receive a Bible as well as a treasure map with 15 Bible stories that they will read with you as a family. After each completed book, check in with Pastor Nick to get it stamped off. At the end of the summer, check back in with Pastor Nick to receive your treasure! For more information, contact Pastor Nick.
These summer opportunities are week-long events that build relationships that matter and teach children about God’s love and grace through Bible stories, music, and play. This is an opportunity for children to learn to share their talents with other like them, to utilize their gifts God has given them, and to help guide them in the path God wants us to go. Children are encouraged to invite their friends to attend.
